July Virtual Challenge  – Test Event

Virtual Challenges are a great fun way of staying physically fit. By entering a virtual event it will give you the motivation to train. It gives you the chance to work on your personal goals and will give you the confidence to know that you reached your goals and finished your race. Challenge your friends and family to help motivate each other to get fit and stay healthy.

Distances;- 5k / 10k / 15k / 21k / 45k

Free to enter with the option to add X-Runner goodies, medals, technical t-shirts, survivor hoodies and merchandise.

Please note this is our first ever virtual event, by entering you will be helping us to move forward into the new normal. Good luck with your challenge. Stay Healthy, Stay Safe.

How to take part

Chosen your distance;- 5k, 10k, 15k, 21.1k, 45k.

Invite friends and family
Plan your course or loop and measure the distance.
Complete your run and record it on any free app;- strava, pacer, mapmyrun etc
Enter your time and upload a screen shot from your running app as evidence.

Free finishers certificate and prizes

How to submit virtual run result?

Follow the steps below to submit your results

  1. Upload your results HERE
  2. Enter your registration ID starting with “R-“
  3. Click Go
  4. On the result submit page, enter your Finish time and Upload a screenshot of the result from your timing app or a photo of your GPS watch that shows the time and distance completed.

Note: The result can be uploaded at any time between the start and end of the event (a countdown to the deadline is displayed on the results page).

Note: You only need to copy and paste the number after R- in the registration ID field.

Note: You can submit a replacement result by repeating the above process; only the latest submitted result will be presented to the organisation for approval..

What is a virtual challenge? A virtual race or challenge is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. … You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Choose from our virtual 5K, 10K, 15k, Half Marathon and 45k events!

When does the event start / finish

Events take place monthly, so you must complete the challenge by the end of the current month and submit your entry before the 4th of the following month. So June challenges must be completed by 30th June and result should be submitted by 4th July.

Safety;- We recommend that complete your own risk assessment whilst planning the event and route. Please download our example risk assessment as a guide,  you should add any other specific risks that are applicable to you and share the risk assessment with your team. Download Risk Assessment HERE

Teams
You can register a team and challenge each other to complete the challenge. Please follow government guideline with regards to social distancing. We may not all be allowed to run together but you can still have great fun sharing your challenges with a team.

Medals, Tees and other merchandise are optional extras, if you have ordered any extra items these will be mailed out after the 5th of the month, please allow five working days for delivery.
